IGLAD Annual Data Report
IGLAD data has been used for research papers and various analysis by the members of the consortium since the early days of the project. As the data has a broad spectrum of different factors and also provides in-depth information about the accidents it can be applied to different research questions and tasks. A list of research papers is available here.
mooselakecartoons.com
On this page you can find a very condensed report with some basic statistics generated from the IGLAD dataset. It is updated with each annual release of the IGLAD data.
A more
detailed version of this report
is provided to the members of the project, only. While this full report presents a wide spectrum of information in more than 100 tables, it contains only a fraction of the data available in the IGLAD database and can't replace your own queries that for example contain more than two factors or specific constraints. For information on how to get full database access, please contact the consortium.
In this annual report, the IGLAD consortium presents a few selected descriptive statistics about traffic crashes that result in personal injury outcome from different countries of the world.
Information from 13 countries has been combined to create a single source
for motor vehicle traffic crash statistics.
The full report, which is available for members only, contains more than 100 tables from an analysis of the data to provide an overall measure of traffic safety, to help identify traffic safety
problems, to suggest solutions, and to help provide an objective basis on which to evaluate the
effectiveness of motor vehicle safety standards and initiatives. Data from the IGLAD database
is used to answer requests for information from the international traffic safety
communities, including state and local governments, federal agencies, research
organizations, industry, the media, and the public.

of international in-depth traffic accident data statistics.
TRENDS
The tables in this chapter present statistics about traffic accident trends over the course of the IGLAD accident years.

The following tables show selected passive safety systems and the occupant age in correlation to the maximum abbreviated injury scale (MAIS) value for each person. For more details on MAIS see the IGLAD codebook or this wikipedia article. For a definition of Delta-V, as the the change of speed during a collision, see this paper.
